The UK Working Group on Non-communicable Diseases (NCDs) is delighted to announce an exciting part-time opportunity for two consultants with lived experience of NCDs to work with us for four months to raise the voice and share the perspectives of people with lived experience of NCDs on the UK international aid cuts and look at the impact of the cuts on the global response to NCDs.
The consultants will deliver a project funded by the NCD Alliance, working together to write a report on the impact of UK cuts on progress on NCDs globally, within the context of COVID-19, with case studies on global impact. The consultants will also actively participate in a webinar in December to raise awareness of the issue of global funding for NCDs, bringing the perspective of their own lived experience and the findings from the report to UK-based policymakers and NGOs.
Deadline for applications is Thursday 9 September 2021, 17.00 UK time. The start-date will be as soon as possible and will end in December 2021.
The consultants are expected to have strong research and report-writing experience within theNCD/international development sector, with excellent advocacy skills. We will need you to be flexible and focused, able to work to deadlines and communicate with a wide range of stakeholders. The consultants will be supported by the project team within the UK Working Group on NCDs but must be self-motivated and proactive in taking the report forward.
